Praying still makes sense

After Nick Berg, Kim Sun-Il and Ihab ElSherif, it's difficult to imagine praying to God can get us anywhere.

I could not imagine for one second what they must have gone through as the knife was being sheathed. Terror? Horror? DISGUST? All their fault was their IDs. Nationality: UnArab. Religion: UnMuslim. Off goes the head!

What are those filthy "mojahedeen" thinking of? That they're liberating their country? How very chivalrous . They abduct a harmless, weaponless human being and cut off his head, when he can't defend himself. They kill a life, so simply. Haven't they known Prophet Muhammad's words:“Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-Muslim minority, or curtails their rights, or burdens them with more than they can bear, or takes anything from them against their free will; I will complain against the person on the Day of Judgment.” (Abu Dawud) They are killing in the name of religion when God looks at them with contempt. They are killing in the name of religion and the result is the whole world equating Islam with terrorism.

I just felt sick when I knew about the latest abducted victims. More base Jihady crimes! Give us a break I'm sick of you abusing the image of my religion to satisfy your sadistic needs. JUST ENOUGH!

People have their brains dashed out everyday anyway. ENOUGH JIHADIES! We're sick of your cruelty! How can you raise your hand to murder a 60 something old woman who can never defend herself. In case you don't know, this is not patriotism, this is COWARDICE and BLASPHEMY.

All my life I've prayed so dearly to god whenever I wanted something to happen. It's the only time I feel miracles can come true. And He never lets me down. Ever. I will pray, all along the next ten days that they don't get killed. That somehow their abductors find the littlest strain of mercy in their hearts not to raise their knives against an innocent old woman and young man.

I will pray because I still have faith in God. I have faith they can go through this terrifying experience - and I won't forget those who die everyday by other forms of stupidity.

Today is the 10th of March, if I counted right, their death is scheduled on the 20th. Let us pray with all our hearts they don't get killed. Let us pray for them and for everyone waiting for his death in a country they used to call Iraq!

Pray with me and have faith that we can make a change. Pray that our pleas to God be more powerful than their swords.

I'm wondering if you could help answer some of my questions about local hangouts, culture, lifestyle, practices... Will it be convenient for me to contact you and how may I do so? Pls email me at 'huitse.gan@lawton-yeo.com.sg' if it's convenient. Thank you, hope to hear from you soon!
